Don Pico's

I had lunch at Don Pico's today. It is a Mexican Bistro that prides itself on very fresh ingredients and innovative approaches.

I asked the owner what he recommended since my last visit, he suggested the pork enchiladas,(last visit I ate Mexican Gnocci, they boil it, flash fry it and serve it in a verde sauce, it was excellent).

The enchiladas were delicous. They used cubes of pork in corn tortillas, with a housemade verde sauce that was very green from the peppers, the refried beans were actually three types of beans that contained no lard or oil but were pureed to achieve the smooth consistency. It was served with Jasmine rice that was cooked in a chicken reduction broth.

After lunch he suggested that I try the fish next time, they have it delivered daily.
