Wife and I had dinner at Dish last night. Small, pleasant room on the ground level of the River Inn hotel in the West End, on 25th St. NW.
Service: very nice. server well informed, appropriately attentive.
Food: excellent. I started with a three-tomato and gorgonzola salad, entree was seared snapper with pearl onion and artichoke hearts, dessert mango and papaya sorbet -- all outstanding, the fish entree could be a bit more substantial. Wife started with asparagus soup, had the duck confit starter as an entree, fresh strawberry shortcake for dessert. The soup was fine but not exciting, other two really good. This fine collection of eats, plus two glasses of wine and one large bottle of water set us back $115 including tip. So, not the everyday dinner.
I'd definitely recommend it.
