Disappearing Act

Ed de Sa Pereira | | May 31, 2000 11:12 AM

Coming out of the movies last night, I decided to stop in at Boxers on 63rd and 1st for a beer. It was all lit up. Most of the tables had glasses and covers set. One or two had coffee cups and check folders. But it was totally empty. No staff, no customers. It looked like one of those B movies where the whole town mysteriously disappears. On the door was a sign that the place had been impounded in a bankrupcy suit. Overall it would seem that the heavies moved in during dinner and just threw everyone out and closed the place without even thinking about turning out the lights.

Anyone know anything about this?
