One dinner in SF for non-foodies

Please don't flame me for not searching but I really don't have time and want to pick your collective knowledge. I have friends visiting from Miami and we will get one dinner in SF (the rest of the trip was Tahoe). They are doing the night tour of Alcatraz so will be in the vicinity of Fisherman's Wharf but they aren't crab fans...

They are decidedly not foodies and used to chain restos. I would love to take them somewhere simple but good and uniquely SF. The only thing in my head is Tadich Grill. We live in Palo Alto so I am looking for something central to our route from the Wharf to 280.

Any recommendations are appreciated. Dinner is tonight, 3/7.
