A second report:
Went again last week with some friends and, again, we all had salads and swordfish and scallops. This time, we asked for the fish grilled rather than sauteed. It was just as good as sauteed.
One of my DCs ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir for the table and upon tasting it, declared it to be a bit acidic. The waitress graciously took it away and brought the bartender over to help us decide whether we should order another bottle of the same or something else. After tasting a Pinot they sell by the glass, we decided to order another bottle of our original selection. The waitress and the bartender couldn't have been nicer about it,which isn't always the case, saying that the point was for us to enjoy our wine and our dinner. The next bottle was just fine. The owner came to the table a short while later to see if everything was okay and to tell us he was impressed with my DCs palate - he had tried the bottle we sent back and also found it slightly acidic - and was glad that we were happy with our wine and our dinner.
It is a pleasure to have a local restaurant with good food and gracious service.
