Dinner at Appetito

Tonight I was in Newton so I decided to try Appetito. I was by myself so I sat at the bar. I had the sashimi plate which was good, except too peppery. I had a glass of Fume Blanc from Hogue which went well together. I then had the Ensalada Appetito, which had braised fennel, gorgonzola and roasted tomatoes. The tomatoes were ice cold. I actually sent the salad back (which is something I never do) because it was drowning in the orange dressing. They brought another one which was better, but not great. For dessert I had the tiramisu, which was very dense and again, very cold. Everything, including the one drink was $29. I am not a huge pasta fan, but some of the pastas that were served up at the bar looked interesting.
