We haven't been to AMA in quite a while, and decided to return last night. Ordered a chef's tasting menu which went something like this:
Bread: Best bread anywhere served with great Olive Oil.
Burrata Chese with Tomato and Basil: The Burrata was creamy and the tomatos almost summerlike. An excellent starter.
Creamy Polenta with baby octopus and red sauce: This dish was incredible. The polenta had so much taste, and was incredibly creamy. Blending with with the soft baby octopus, and chefs homemade sauce, made this dish one of our two favorites of the night.
Orecchiette with broccli rabe and baby tomatos: This dish screamed with flavor: Cooked perfectly al dente, we loved every bite.
Florentine Steak: Cooked to perfection, this steak was sliced and served with a chopped gorgonzola salad. I had been dieing for a steak and this one blew me away. What a great dish.
Dessert: Dolce de Leche gelato and Black Cherry Sorbet. Great way to end a great meal/
In conclusion, it seems that Ama is getting better with age. The service is now graceful and smooth. They are a BYOB which to us is a huge plus, and they have great wine glasses.
This was one of the best meals we've had in a long while, anywhere!!
