Where to go for dinner for 8 to 12 -- Outdoor Seating or Celebratory Scene?

I'm an SF hound (and former DC resident) and am planning a dinner for 8-12 people for a Saturday night in late May. Coming from chilly SF, I have fond memories of warm nights in DC and dining outside. Perry's and Lauriol Plaza are two places I used to go when I lived in DC ten years ago, but I have no idea if those are still good. Looking for something that's celebratory but not fancy, where I can make a reservation. Looking for something in DC proper, not necessarily in Adams Morgan.

I've read here about Bacchus and that sounds like a great option (though no outdoor seating). Jaleo would have been my first choice food-wise, but sounds like they still don't take reservations. Any other places I should consider?
