The first time we were at Hei La Moon was about six months ago where we were horrified by the taste of the soy sauce and didnt go back until last Saturday. Weve been to China Pearl one month ago and it was about two months that we had been to CCC and New Shanghai. As you may already know, New Shanghai has lost his dim sum chef and my comment is based on my experience with his food.
My husband and I usually order about eight dishes every time we go for dim-sum. To simplify my comparison, I will just compare the arguably the four kings of dim-sum suimai, hargau, beef ball and chicken feet. Besides, since Cheung foon is of paramount factor to us, it will be included in the comparison too. They will be scaled from 1 to 10 for which 1 is the worst and 10 is the best. There might be spacing problem. Just remember the first item corresponds to the first figure.

# the cheung foon is unbelievably fresh and the soy sauce, although not the best, is acceptable
*the range is so large as we had been served with refrigerated and cold cheung foon two times.
As New Shanghai becomes history, I believe Hei La Moon will be our choice for the time being. We will not go to China Pearl for a while as we found the waiters kept avoiding our eye contact when we needed them.
