Travelling to Killington, Vermont this summer from Toronto. We are driving and planning 2 days to travel each way. Seeking worthwhile destination restaurants along the way. We will likely travel the north side of Lake Ontario on the way to Vermont, cross the border at Watertown and cut through the Adirondacks area; on the return trip we will travel south of the lake via Albany, Syracuse, Utica, Rochester & Buffalo. Willing to go a reasonable distance out of our way for great chow.
Seeking unique restaurants or inns with great food, particularly rural places. Sit down dining. Doesn't have to be fancy but should be great quality food worth driving for - we have multi-ethnic Toronto palates and will eat pretty well anything if it is tasty!
Only chow experience around this area was the Moosewood, which we loved. Hoping for other hidden treasures!
