I was invited to a 1920s themed dinner party. Everyone is dressing up and listening to jazz and watching silent films and, of course, eating food that was popular in the 1920s. Being Polite,I asked the hostess if I could bring anything and she asked me to bring a dessert. Great, I thought. I have absolutely no idea what desserts were popular in the 1920s and I have very little baking experience! The drive is kind of far so anything cold would not really stay. I was thinking that maybe some kind of cake or cookie would be good. Does anyone have recipes, ideas or information about food from the 1920s that is easy to make and travels well? (or any ideas at all, for that matter?) Thanks!
