Ok - I'm really hoping that someone might be able to help me out with this. I just graduated and moved away from philly. All was well until the second week of not having access to Isgro's Italian Raspberry Filled Cookies. Trauma, Doom and frantic calling in of favors ensued.
When all friends in philly stopped returning my Isgro-related calls, I started hunting through the Italian bakeries in NY, but with no success.
Does anyone know if those cookies have another name they might be recognized by, or (dear lord!) a recipe somewhat approximating the delirium that is the aforementioned cookies?
Fruit filled cookies are usually the jam/linzer combination, and Italian cookies are usually just butter/nut cookies up in NY. I'm both hungry AND confused now. Never a good state.
