Decent Vietnamese on the South Shore, at last

After several visits to the Pho Yuen Dong, in the Kam Man Asian shopping center, (the old President's Plaza) in Quincy, I am pleased to say that there have been NO disapointments. Indeed, everything we have sampled has met our expectations based on our Vietnamese eating experiences in Chinatown and Cambridge.

The Goi (salads), are crisp, fresh and clean tasting. The Pho, stands up to some of the Boston & Cambridge versions very well. However, the Pho Ga, (chicken Noodle soup) is a delightful surprise with it's, "just right" hit of cinnemon. On another visit I tried the Bo Luc Lac. It was a huge portion of cubed beef, sauteed with garlic, black pepper & soy sauce, served with a mound of special fried rice and topped with a well cooked fried egg. Great presentation as well as satisfying.

I am anxious to try some of their seafood selections on a further visit. If you are a fan of Vietnamese food, beyond Pho, You should give this place a try.
