Dear Chowhounds, the following is the menu for the upcoming DDC event at Sultan on the 25th. I hope that you find it intriguing.
Papadums with accompaniments
Mulagwatany Soup (spiced lentil soup)
Appetizers: assortment of Vegetable Pakora, Onion Bhaji, Vegetable Samossa and Paneer Pakora.
Chingri Puri (shrimp cooked with giner, garlic and spices folded in a puffed bread)
Mixed Tandoori Breads (Nan, Kulcha, Roti, Pori, and Paratha-including Mooli Paratha!)
Meat Entrees: Achari Chicken (cooked in pickling spices giving a sharp, spicy edge); Chicken Madras (South Indian dish rich in flavor); Boti Kebab (boneless pieces of lamb marinated in yogurt and spices and grilled in clay oven); Prawn Jalfrazi (jumbo shrimp cooked with tomatoes, onions, green peppers and fresh spices)
Vegetarian Entrees: Badaljaam (slices of eggplant cooked with tomatoes and garlic-flavored yogurt); Navratan Korma (mixed vegetables cooked in a creamy sauce with cashews, almonds and dried fruits)
Dessert: Kulfi (homemade Indian ice cream)
