My SO and I will be coming into town later in August for 3.5 days to attend a family wedding. We are staying in the Marriott at Yonge & Bloor and will be relying on public transportation. Will try to hit JK Wine Bar and maybe Chiados/Senhor Antonios. We are pretty adventurous eaters.
We are looking places that are fun, good eats, in the cheap to middlin range and non touristy (get enough of that here). Could you please provide suggestions for a quick breakfast near the hotel, fish & chips, Greek, Portuguese, Caribbean, Chinese (DCs Chinatown leaves a lot to be desired), Italian, a Brewpub/Cocktails, or any other places?
I was thinking of making our way down to the Islands and catch some of the sights along the way. Would it be better to create a picnic from one of the markets or grab something there?
Lastly, we recently saw a TV show about the creation of iceberg vodka and would appreciate some recs where to locate a bottle to bring back, and any recs for Ice Wine?
Thank you in advance for all suggestions!!
