After reading the In-Towner's glowing review of DAVID GREGGORY's (21st and M., formerly SHELLY'S WEST END and RED TOMATO before that), 2 of us went there for dinner last night. It was everything the reviewers said. Delicious! We had the Zuccanelloni (zucchini stuffed with spinach and feta cheese topped with a delicious sauce), the deviled egg appetizer (3 egg halves, each with a different delicious filling), the jumbo crab cakes (one of the best I've had lately). The crab cake comes with "old bay chips" but since I'm doing Atkins, I asked to substitute curried spinach which was not a problem at all for the kitchen. That spinach was out of this world! The bread looked delicious but we had the waiter take it away since we're both doing Atkins. I almost forgot: I started with a Caesar salad that was superb (I even ate the anchovies but you could probably have them leave them off if you don't like them.) All in all, a very nice experience with excellent service. We'll go back for sure. If you've been there, please let me know what your experience was, and what you ate.
