Daniele Osteria -- DFW

I had the pleasure of dining at Daniele Osteria last evening and must say that it was a wonderful experience. The room is comfortable, not at all pretentious, and appropriately lit. The service was excellent, from being greeted at the door as I entered by Daniele to my server who made some truly great recommendations for my meal. I felt truly welcome and relaxed. Daniele went out of his way to make this an experience to remember.

Speaking of the meal; I began my meal with a mixed greens salad topped with a lightly fried, creamy piece of fried goat cheese. The creaminess of the cheese set off the balsamic dressing wonderfully. For a pasta course, I had the gnocchi in gorgonzola cheese sauce. The gnocchi were very well made, chewy and tender, the sauce creamy but not overpowering. This was probably the best gnocchi I have ever eaten. Finally, I tried the fresh tuna. The outside of the tuna was seared and crusted with peppercorns, the inside was juicy red and succulent. This is authentic Italian food, not your typical Olive Garden fare cooked with care and pride. The dedication to this style is evident in every bite.

All in all, this was a wonderful dining experience. I would highly recommend a trip to this establishment. Tell Daniele Marc from Florida sent you!
