We're in the middle of a kitchen remodel and looking to replace our old Whirlpool 30" gas range with something much nicer. Cost is an issue, but I'd rather spend the money and be happy with the performance since I love to cook and bake.
We have a small kitchen and are limited to a 30 inch range. No 220 outlet, so dual fuel is out. I don't care about self-cleaning, although I've heard that self-cleaning ovens have better insulation (at the expense of some interior space).
Initially looked at a Wolf, but am seriously considering the Dacor ER30G. Has anyone had experience with this model, or with Dacor gas ranges in general? I've seen some unhappy postings about Dacor quality and service on a couple of forums and I'm concerned about spending so much $ and ending up with a service nightmare. Not sure if the higher end range is worth it.
If not Dacor, then which other 30" gas only range would you recommend? We have a Bosch dishwasher and are very happy with it, but I've heard their ranges aren't as nice.
We're making a buying decision in about a week, so your experiences and comments are very much appreciated.
