Cypress Grove Goat Cheese

Don Shirer | Mar 13, 2005 08:11 PM

Just discovered two cheeses from Cypress Grove Chevre (California) at a local cheese shop which deserve wide recognition. "Humboldt Fog" is a fresh cheese with an edible ashy rind having a remarkable aftertaste, and "Midnight Moon" is an aged goat cheese wrapped in a black wax coating whose nutty flavor grows on you as you eat it. Since I have had to rely on supermarket cheeses before I discovered this shop, my knowledge of the cheese industry is limited and I may be preaching to the converted, but I urge you to try these and other cheeses from this supplier.
