I went to a great hole in the wall last week up in the Inland Empire (a place called Flamingo Palms). It was a little family owned joint with great cuban food. I had a dish which reminded me of my mom's haitian cooking (it was called Masa de puerca Frita or something along those lines). I am curious if there is a good Cuban place here in SD. The only place I know of is Miami Grill and well...the name clues you into what to expect. And hole in the wall/family owned recommendations?
