2 nights on business and wanted moderate but tasty. Crispo was wonderful. Starter of 2 small plates :ricotta and sage wrapped sausage...Loved the ricotta , sausage good taste but batter a tad greasy. Main of Carbonara and it was fabulous. Ordered a Barbera for around $50 and it was a good complement ( other DC had ? butternut squash ravioli and one had sausage with onion and peppers) Ambiance and service was terrific and we are all happy to return any time. Rene Pujol not so good. Served toasts with eggplant tapenade that was quite tasty. Good french rolls with sweet butter. Onion soup lackluster and thin. Paid up over the fix pre for steak that was really tasteless. Served with passable mashed potatoes and carrots. Only saving grace was a very good and fairly priced Vosne Romanee ( $90) and the sorbets . Service very French and accomodating but won't return. DC enjoyed his veal chop.
