We will be visiting New Orleans next week, and looking at the Farmers Market website I saw the headline "Creole Tomatoes Are Back!". I've never heard of them but it sounds interesting. Is that a special kind of tomato?
We've been visting New Orleans and Acadiana every year for the last five years or so. This will be our first visit since the storm...we love it there so much and are heading back with a tear in our eye and memories of our last most lovely meal a year ago at Marisol. I thought I saw somewhere on this board that the chef is working elsewhere but Marisol's website is gone. Could someone tell me where he is?
Also there was a remark a couple of months ago about how well some of the chefs are cooking now but the observation was buried in a thread about something else and I can't find it. If there are any particular recommendations for a fancy meal (we can afford one) I'd be very appreciative.
