It can be served in a restaurant or you may shell out the big bucks and buy the whole ham to take to the house. I just need to know where the best ham in the state is located.
I got to thinking about this topic when a buddy of mine was on his way to the region and asked the question. I reflexively said Benton's in Madisonville Tennessee but realized I was giving short shrift to Kentucky ham.
Not only that, I didn't have a good answer as to where a good Kentucky ham off a well reared Kentucky shoat could be located. I know Father's is well revered but I've never tried their meat. How is it?
Where do you go to source a premium country ham in the great state of Kentucky?
