My first country ham and I need some advice

I bought a Smithfield country ham for Easter, I scrubbed it clean and started to slice it (very thin) as I have read to do. However, now I am not sure what to do next, does it need to be refrigerated? How long will it last? Can I freeze a chunk of it? I appreciate any and all advice, thanks.
