So much has been said about the Corona Heights Pork Store but then again TOO MUCH can never be said...
I went on Saturday to get some pork products for a stew. As I arrived, a couple of cops had just placed their order for 15 chicken parm subs. "Mary Ann, we can't get away with coming here and just ordering for ourselves. The precinct finds out we're coming and we gotta get one for everyone!!"
While we all waited for our orders to be completed, Mary Ann gave us samples of Frankie's home made salami (incredible) and mozzarella just 3 seconds old. I lost control and had to buy 2 lbs of mozzarella
Some of the pig parts that I needed they didn't carrt regularly but she let me know that I could just call a day ahead and they'd get any part I wanted. All their meat is incredibly fresh, and never frozen. I got a beautiful pork butt for about $2 lb.
Also, amazing pork sausages like broccoli rabe, etc that you can also get custom ordered by calling ahead. This is of course in addition to their regular offering of pork sausages like fennel, hot, etc.
