I'm not sure if this is an appropriate post for a foodie's board, but here is some information on Jamie Shannon's new cookbook they are selling at Commander's Palace. We bought this on our trip last month, and Jamie was in the kitchen that day, so he autographed the book for us, which was a special treat.
We had a dinner party for 12 on New Year's eve, and decided to do a New Orleans theme. The two recipes we used from the cookbook turned out absolutely fantastic. The pickled shrimp recipe was so simple and some of the best tasting shrimp I've ever made. For dessert we made the chocolate molten souffle - what can I say? - it was chocolate heaven, and again so easy to prepare. Our guests thought we were gourmet chefs and were completely impressed!
I plan on using this book a lot more, and would recommend it in any cooks library. I don't have the book with me today, but maybe when I get home I'll post the recipes if anyone is interested.
