As the menu says "Food for the Soul".
I was so happy I stumbled on to this out of the way soul food restaurant right near the downtown clearwater area. It was the BBQ rib's and chicken sign on the side of the road that caught my eye.
I decided on the pork ribs platter with macaroni and cheese. They ribs were smoked, with oak, pulled off the bone nicely and were covered in Miss Ellen's sauce. The mac and cheese was very very good.
She asked me which sauce I wanted to try and I opted for the regular. She also makes a spicy sauce. She gave me two small bottles of regualr and hot to try.
Any how, the menu looked real good, chicken wings, curried chicken, curried goat, liver and onions, fried gizzards, chitterlings, collard greens, black eyes peas, okra, THE WHOLE soul food shabang!
Almost forgot the Sweet Tea. Have to say, best I have ever had. She said it was a family recipie, made with mint. She also let me sample some of her famous Kool Aid, which was nice and sweet.
