Best Cioppino in LA?

EricDC | May 16, 2011 02:02 PM

I know Cioppino is really an SF dish... still, I'm looking for it here in LA (and the closer to West LA, the better.)

Anyone have any suggestions, besides flying up to SF? I checked this earlier thread: ( http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/386680 ), but it's mostly old as dirt and mostly all about bouillabaisse. The only places that mentioned cioppino were mostly dead-ends:

- 26 Beach (checked the website; couldn't find it on the menu)
- Church and State (checked the website; couldn't find it on the menu)
- Gladstone's (checked the website; couldn't find it on the menu)
- Musso & Frank (checked the website; couldn't find it listed)
- Original Fish Co (Alamitos is unfortunately just too far to drive)

So... here's my query. Anyone have a place in LA they know of where I can go for cioppino? (And by the way, if I'm wrong about one of the above places, please do let me know...)
