Chuan Yu Noodle - Valley Blvd. in Alhambra

As mentioned in the thread "If you're look for the best Sichuan Spicy Noodle (or Dan Dan Mien) ..." and Tony C.'s Boring West SGV Update for December at eatingvalleyblvd.com, Chuan Yu Noodletown replaced Noodle Young. It opened Thanksgiving. Located at 525 W. Valley Blvd. - across from Sam Woo.

Stopped off there for lunch today and had the Tofu Noodles, like Chandavkl had. Essentially mapo tofu over noodles. As he described, quite interesting and quite good. Thanks Tony C. and Chandavkl for the tip.

And a freaking huge bowl for $5. Bill only came to $6.50 with a Sour Plum Drink.

Menu is not that large, but a good variety. Several noodle dishes, some cold Sichuan style (pig's ears, pickled veggies) and several pork dishes. No plain cold noodle, but that's a minor quibble (they do offer cold noodle with chicken)

Essentially, a Sichuan style snack place (if you can call a bowl that big a "snack"). There are places offering Taiwanese and Shanghainese snack items, so this is a welcome addition to the SGV.
