chowhound find in Northeast Philly

Should you ever find yourself hungry and in Northeast Philly, admittedly the pickings are slim (unfortunately I work out there). I just stumbled upon a place called "Dutch Country Market" on Cottman Ave. just west of Large St. This place is amazing.

Their hot sandwiches (turkey, ham and roast beef) are, at $2.75, a tasty bargain. Very fresh and piled high on a delicious soft roll.

In the back you can find roasted chicken and there is a deli that looks fantastic.

There is also a nice selection of fresh fruit and vegetables and a mind-boggling selection of pies and rolls.

As a bonus, all the counters are staffed by stoic Amish

Open Wed-sat. only.
