My husband and I are heading to Portland in September for four days before spending a few days in Seattle and returning home to Vancouver, BC.
I've never been to an outlet mall and want to check out the Woodburn (?) Company Stores, which is south of your city. The only way I can get my hubby to do the shopping trek is to bribe him with a couple of visits to nearby wineries and a lunch. After some research I've come up with Erath and Domain Serene, both of which seem to have generous public opening hours. Is there somewhere nearby where we could have a nice lunch. Our tastes are fairly eclectic, with an emphasis on local food.
We'd also like to have one delicious and authentic Mexican dinner, something that is impossible to come by in Vancouver. I've come up with either Autentica or Nuestra Cocina. We'd like a comfortable atmosphere, buzzy but not too loud, and food that is delicious and interesting without departing too much from tradition. Does one of these, or another Portland place, stand out in terms of our wishlist?
We are also thinking of Pok Pok as another dinner option. Is it as delicious as I've been led to believe?
We are staying in the Pearl District and have a car.
