I'd like to buy a gift certificate for my parents, for Christmas, to a nice place in Philly. I've been living in NYC for a while so I'm not as plugged in to the Philly restaurant scene as I used to be. My parents are in their late 50s and enjoy going to the city for dinner, they are not afraid of somewhere where the "young people" go, or is a little noisy, etc. Their current favorite is Raddichio and I also know they frequent Rouge, the White Dog Cafe, and were very disappointed to see Blue Angel close.
I was thinking about Pigalle, or the new place on 17th and Chestnut, I think it's called "Jones"?
Can anyone suggest somewhere that would be an appropriate gift certificate choice? I would hate to make an uninformed choice and have them eat a bad meal.
