Looking for chocolate kugelhopf

Southpaw | Jan 16, 2004 03:51 PM

I'm looking for a bakery that sells chocolate kugelhopf (also spelled "guglhupf") - and I don't mean with chocolate chunks - this has a dark (?) chocolate swirled into the cake. This is a rarely-seen variation. Traditional kugelhopf (a German/Alsatian brioche) is usually made with raisins or currants. There was a bakery in Yorkville that used to sell it - now long closed. Any suggestions?
