Chocolate Experts' help needed: Can I blend dark and white to sweeten the dark?

I am coating sliced bananas to replicate Trader Joe's frozen treats. The first time I did this, I thought the TJ bar I used wasn't sweet enough, and coated too thickly. I am planning to add virgin coconut oil to the rest of that TJ bar but wonder about melting some TJ white chocolate chips into it. They do have cocoa butter. Ideally, I'd like the chocolate to be on the milk chocolate side of semi-sweet. I am not motivated enough to go out and get more chocolate - this is what I have on hand. I care about how it tastes, not what it looks like. Thanks in advance!
