Recently went to Cho Dang Gol to try some of the tofu mentioned many times on this board. Unfortunately I was not aware of what I was getting into.
My experience with tofu has always been the "blocks" or "cubes" of tofu found in soups (miso, deon-jhang jigae...) or whole entrees (braised tofu and spinach as Joe's Shanghai - fantastic!).
I ordered the first thing on the menu (under Casseroles?) and was served three bowls - one was very much like deon-jhang jigae, another was a white, milky soup of mashed tofu (?) and a third was what looked like curds.
Didn't much care for the the last two bowls, however the first was good - as good, although more spicy than I've had before.
Is that what I should expect for tofu at Cho Dang Gol - the milky soup and/or the curds? Are there any dishes with non-mushy tofu?
