Best chinese food in Chicago area...

I love chinese food. One of my favorite cuisines. I just want to say that our Chinatown is very, very weak. If I go to Chinatown, I usually go to BBQ King (great duck), Happy Chef (dim sum), or Ken Kee. Triple Crown at night is a good deal, but the food isn't that great. Evergreen has gone downhill over the years. Phoenix's dim sum is way overrated.

IMHO, the best chinese restaurants are located in Naperville. Naperville has a large affluent chinese population...and the demand for higher quality chinese food exists. Tong's and House of Emperor is bar far better than any restaurant in chinatown.

But for you foodhounds...for the best beef noodle soup outside of Taiwan, go to Old Peking in Naperville. The broth is so rich, thick, and flavorful. But go during dinner time...its better, as the broth sits and soaks up all the good stuff throughout the day.
