Just wanted to relate a great meal that I had yesterday at Wong Kee (113 Mott Street). I have been going there for years because I love their won ton soup with roast pork. They give you a bowl which is big enough to split, but you won't want to. I always thought that the other food there was just ok. Yesterday I ordered pan fried noodles with beef, peppers and onions in black bean sauce. It was outstanding. I usually consider black bean sauce to be a default menu item, but this was superb, with many levels of flavor and a little spicy heat. I'll be going back soon.
