Children Welcome in L.A.

A few weeks ago I took one of the pups to a chain restaurant and he noticed how indifferent the server was to him. Instead of listening to him place his order, she impatiently asked me what he wanted. This got me thinking about all of the places where the pups have been treated royally. I think it would be nice to have a little discussion, for the parents and grandparents out there, about joints that are really nice to sprats. My short list:
Ambala Dhaba--the owner visits with the the guys and always takes them into the kitchen, gives them samples and shows them how stuff works.
Polka--they have cute special melmac dishes for the lil' ones and their child's plate is just a small portion of the grown up grub. Mercifully, no chicken fingers or hamburgers.
La Abeja--quickly learned the sprats names and their dining preferences.
Mimi's--actually has a couple of adult palatable items on the menu and a more interesting kids menu than most (although be warned, the mac 'n cheese is Kraft)The kids menus have good puzzles that keep the guys busy and occupied while waiting for food and the dirt pudding with candy worms is a big hit.
Am eager to hear other ideas for places that treat kids well.
