Chien Noir-Kingston

We celebrated the sunshine (20 degrees) here in Easter Ontario on Sat. by having lunch at Chien Noir in Kingston. It is an informal little bistro on Brock St, that does a great job on all their short menu selections. My favorite is their taking on the Quebec national dish.

Chien Noir takes the "Poutine" and goes a few steps better.
Their fries are crisp on the outside yet soft and flavorable on the inside. They top the fries with a mixture of 5 year old Ontario cheddar, crispy pancetta bacon and shredded duck confit. This is all covered with a full flavored beef gravy, which seems to bring the whole thing together. This we washed down with the perfect summer drink, (DeBouef Beaujolais).
If one is going to indulge in "junk" food, then this is the way to go. Class!!

Does anyone out there have any suggestions for a great unique place for weekend lunches this summer in Easter Ontario?
