i've lived here for a total of two weeks (about a gastronomic month; i've done pretty well so far, thanks to lurking on this board) and am now faced with the prospect of showing an equally food-minded friend all about town as if i know what i'm doing. i'd love your help.
below is what's already on the menu:
-multiple pizzas are a must, so we're already doing una pizza napoletana + grimaldis.
-brunch at superfine for the green chile
-olive oil gelato at otto
-perhaps those incredible gnocci at hearth as appetizer
(1) my guest has just returned from asia, so he's unlikely to want pho, or amazing soup dumplings, or even sushi (well, maybe sushi...)
(2) while i'd love to sample the more upscale places around town, i can pull off maybe only one evening, and that definitely way below the (e.g.) per se range.
otherwise, we're both into anything + everything.
