Chic n' Wings - Tyson's Corner

This is a small brand-new place attached to the back of a Baskin Robbins/Dunkin Donuts off Rte 7. I thought it was going to be a fast food joint. Turns out that it is an upscale sports bar with our server dressed in the costume of a Vegas-style cocktail waitress. Elegant wood paneling all around gives this place a corporate, sterile look. About 12 tables in the middle and a bar on three walls with about 25 stools. Plasmas everywhere you look. Everyone has a good view since it's so small.

There is a brief list of wings to start things off, and when the waitress pointed out to the 'shake n' bake' wings, she added, "These are just like Hooters." I'll have to take her word on that.

The food is upscale corporate casual, like pasta with beef tenderloin (a misnomer) in a tequila lime sauce, crabcakes (don't go there), etc. The napkins are from Capital Grille, so maybe there's a connection. I got the grilled bbq wings. Huge, meaty wings. Ok flavor, no grill marks or crust. Served on a rectangular frosted glass plate. In fact, all the dinnerware here is downtown trendy.

So many mixed metaphors.
