Family and I had a fantastic meal at Chef Hung's in San francisco's chinatown 823 clay btwn stockton and grant. this restaurant is located below the street level and is right next door to Kum Tai jewelers.
had lobster lo mein (cooked perfectly, noodles were al dente with a good sized whole lobster, we actually couldn't finish it all)
ginger beef (great taste, not too much corn starch, you know what i mean. you can still see the grain of the beef)
braised sliced rockcod with mushrooms, dired bean curd, fried tofu and whole roasted garlic (this is braised and not in a clay pot, my 7 year old son ate half the dish!)
jee-yuk beng with hom yee(steamed pork patty with sliced of salted fish, just like grandma, maybe even better)
tender pea sprouts (we asked the waiter before hand to see if these were indeed tender, sometimes you get stuck with old stuff that taste woody and too fibrous, this was perfect.
my wife and three kids were totally in bliss after this meal, sorry no pics. friendly staff and great prices. sorry for the spelling.
