Charm City Chowhounds, help! VINTAGE dining in S/SW/W Bal'mer

...by this I mean Brooklyn, Catonsville, Arbutus, Westview, Linthicum, Ferndale, Elkridge, Odenton, even Glen Burnie & Pasadena.

I'm looking for the REAL DEAL - places that have been around for a long time, that you won't find around DC anymore. Nifty architecture is a plus. Something preferably that won't cost a fortune either.

I'm looking specifically in those places because as a Mo Co resident I don't want to make the journey all the way up to Timonium & Towson, or Dundalk & Bel Air (unless I'm also heading to Bengies Drive-In Theatre)

I'm already aware of Timbuktu, G&M & Olive Grove near BWI, Ma's Kettle in Savage, Frank's Diner & Log Cabin (BBQ) in Jessup, and Tastee Diner & Little Tavern in Laurel...

I had taken the chowpups to the Baltimore Zoo Monday and was looking for something uniquely vintage for dinner on the way home through Pikesville & Woodlawn. I looked in vain for Mr. G's Fast Lane (old-fashioned drive-in restaurant), but Johnnycake Rd is long & I was looking in the wrong direction. I ended up in Ellicott City at Canopy BBQ & the Old Fashioned Ice Cream Shoppe next to Mars...

Thanks!
