Charcoal or wood-grilled

Mike5966 | Sep 24, 2013 10:49 AM

Hi everyone, I haven't posted in a while but today I had the craving for something char-grilled (beef, pork, chicken). And not just grilled but it has to have been made over live coals or wood.

I used to go down the street to Yakitori Zai for this but it's closed now as you probably know. Hillstone, back when it was Houston's, used to do wood-fired steak that was awesome. Peruvian chicken places would also fit the bill as would a rib truck like M&M Ribs.

Would appreciate anyone who can help me make a list of places like this. Korean BBQ with gas grills and similar places do not count (e.g., Gyu Kaku).

So far based on the above, I have:

1. M&M Ribs
2. Pollo a la Brasa Beto's
3. Machu Picchu
4. Pollo a la Brasa El Chalan
