Change at Craftbar

And I'm not happy about it. The restaurant no longer lists sides of vegetables on the menu. Many of the entrees (the more expensive ones with meat or fish) now come with small vegetable accompaniments. But the fabulous roasted vegetables that were a highlight of the place for me are no longer available. Our server mentioned that sometimes they can whip something up, but when I volunteered to take any such side, none was forthcoming.

On a brighter note, a few weeks ago I asked where you could order Tasmanian trout cooked (I had loved the Tasmanian trout sushi I ate at Sushi Yasuda). Tonight this was a special at Craftbar, and it was our best entree by far.

Banana fritters have just been added to the dessert menu, and they are terrific, served with two dipping sauces. The steamed lemon pudding is terrific, too, although I don't think the vanilla ice cream and blood oranges served with it complements the lemon flavors.
