Central Market Jerky

Upon first returning from my divorced family's Tejas diaspora in the early 90's my (then)Austonian father introduced me to Central Market. I'm saddened by it's apparent decline in quality(btw among the best I've encountered...better by far than what became of Whole(let's stick it to the granola-eaters)Foods. Point being: when I visited my dad in Houston-last we patronized Central Market(I can't be more specific except that it was ensconced in one of those deserts of uber-stucco strip malls meant in Houston to connote mid-level wealth and a dearth of architectural creativity). Secondary point being: I purchased some great beef jerky there(PECAN-SMOKED beef jerky). I'm a definite jerky afficianado; springing from the several road journey's my dad and I took from Houston to Big Bend sampling local delicacies along the way. I subsequently asked my dad to send me additional pecan-smoked beef jerky to no avail(he picked a variety easily available and unpalatable in my Chicago environs). Do any Houston chowhounds have a clue as to the jerky I enjoyed not that long ago in (sweet home) Houston?
