Cemitas y Clayudas Pal Cabron Review

I swung by Pal Carbon yesterday on my way home from work to try my first Cemita. I'm a big fan of a well made Torta, and the pics of these sandwiches looked divine so I figured it was worth a taste. After reviewing the menu I settled on between the La Bronca (Spicy Shredded Pork) and the Carnitas one. I asked the sweet girl behind the cash register which was better and she said the shredded pork loin, so I took her advice and ordered one "con Quesillo" (Oaxacan string cheese). I ordered the sandwich to go and brought it home. It held up pretty well over the 15 minute drive. The bread was soft and yielding but sturdy enough to hold the generous portion of pork and cheese. It was a spicy and delicious concoction, and could possibly serve as my burrito substitute since I've yet to be fully satisfied with any burrito I've eaten in LA. My only quip is that it could have used a bit more avocado. There were also some chipotles on there which were a nice touch... Next time I definitely want to try one of the milanesa (fried cutlet) ones of beef or pork.
