I will be bringing my Mom to Toronto very soon for a shopping trip and a visit to the AGO. We'll be staying at the Royal York. When I lived in Toronto, I used to have some favourites that have since disapeared.
We have two main requirements in the downtown core:
lunch on Saturday - with 3 girls aged (9-12, one of whom is a little fussy). I was thinking the Old Spaghetti Factory or the Le Marche in BCE Place.
dinner on Saturday - just my Mom and I. Since this is basically a shopping trip, we'll be dressed casually and for comfort: jeans and sweaters (tidy but not slobby). Any styles/price range welcome. Perhaps the Queen Mother cafe?
P.S. If you ever come to Ottawa, you have to try Beckta!
