We're planning a post-reception supper for about 12 on Sunday May 1. Our original thought was to barbeque at home as money is definitely an issue, but, uh, neither my husband, nor I, knows *how* to grill food, so maybe that wouldn't be wise. Besides, May 1 in Boston could include a blizzard/sandstorms/blistering heat, so it is hard to plan...
Our current fallback position is to take everybody to The Midwest Grill, where we have never been, but it sounds like yummy fun. Does anyone have thoughts about the total package there (food/service/parking) vs. any better choice? We're definitely watching costs, but want everyone to have fun and feel cared for. Some folks will have traveled thousands of miles for our daughter's dedication, so, ya know, they might as well enjoy themselves;)
They will have all brunched at The Blue Room (first seating), then had a reception tea (low on the leaves, high on cake, lemonade, champagne and cookies) around 3-so I am figuring early dinner with capacity for heavy appetites.
