Had a really good time there Tuesday. Arrived a little before 5 p.m. (after the Yankees game) and sat at the bar all hot and sweaty. Asked for an inexpensive cava and was offered a delicious blush. The bottle cost me $30.
Wife and son arrived a little later (no res) and we were escorted to a fine table on the south-side of the restaurant. We ordered six tapas, two desserts and several glasses of wine. Tapas standouts include the mussels, skirt steak and striped bass. Croquetas (both pumpkin and salt cod) were good as were the sweetbreads. The Mono Sundae was a hoot.
Staff knew what they were talking about and had a good sense of humor. At the end of the day, a good time was had by all.
